EnActe is seeking the following performers for it’s upcoming production THE JUNGLE BOOK: RUDYARD REVISED

ACTORS

TABAQUI. Age 15-35, any sex/gender, Any race/ethnicity. Other skills – good dancer, clown skills useful.

CHEEL. Any age, any sex/gender. Any race/ethnicity. Other skills – trained dancer, experience in ballet or contemporary dance is a plus.

FAQs

1. COMPENSATION $16.50 per hour, rehearsals and shows. 

Open to non-union actors/singers/dancers of all ages, all genders, all ethnicities living within the contiguous United States. Must have a valid work visa.


2. REHEARSAL DATES

Rehearsals begin July 30th.

3. SHOW DATES:

Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 (Cubberley Theater, CA)

October 8-9 (Houston, TX)

November 11-20 (Cowell Theater, CA)

Dec 2-11 (Hammer Theater, CA)

4. GEO- ELIGIBILITY

This call is open to anyone living within the contiguous United States.

5. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION

EnActe will cover the travel and lodging costs for out-of-town talent. 

Accommodation may be shared. 

Snacks/food offered only during rehearsal hours.

ABOUT THE SHOW

The Jungle Book Rudyard Revised, is a traveling show, opening in San Jose, CA and traveling to various U.S. cities.

An original production based on the literary classic by Rudyard Kipling, the play celebrates the current values of tiger conservation, inclusion and tolerance. 

Directed by: Vinita Sud Belani.

Music Composer:  World-renowned Jazz saxophonist and Hindustani classical musician George Brooks. 

Choreography by Aparna Sindhoor and Anil Natyaveda of Navarasa Dance Theatre incorporating the animalistic roots of the ancient Indian martial arts – Kalaripayattu. Scenic Design By Kala Chaupal and artwork by indigenous artists in India.

EnActe Arts is a registered 501(c)(3) theatre and theatre education non-profit organization which produces contemporary theatrical projects that explore multicultural issues with particular reference to South Asia, and provides education programs to foster Performing Arts talent in the community.
